‘Between Stages’ – a series of recitals by participants of the 19th Chopin Competition in Nowa Miodowa

The Nowa Miodowa Foundation and ZPSM No. 1 in Warsaw, together with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, are organising an event accompanying the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition – a series of recitals entitled ‘Between Stages’. As part of the series, from 4 to 12 October, during four concerts, we will hear eight pianists from around the world performing solo repertoire. Each evening, two participants preparing for the next stage of the 19th Chopin Competition will perform. The names of the pianists will be announced on an ongoing basis during the Competition.
Concert schedule:

  • BetweenStages/Day 1 – 4 October 2025, 7 p.m.
  • Between Stages/Day 2 – 5 October 2025, 7 p.m.
  • Between Stages/Day 3 – 11 October 2025, 7 p.m.
  • Between Stages/Day 4 – 12 October 2025, 7 p.m.

The event programme will be announced soon. Tickets will be available online at Bilety24. Ticket prices start at PLN 105.

    A solemn celebration of Chopin

    Lu, Chen, and Wang – the prize-winners of this year’s International Chopin Competition in Warsaw – performed at the Berlin Philharmonie as part of the Meister-Klavierabend (Master Pianists’ Evenings) concert series. This prestigious series brings to the Berlin Philharmonie some of the world’s most distinguished contemporary piano virtuosos: Bruce Liu, Khatia Buniatishvili, Ivo Pogorelich, Jan Lisiecki, and Roman Borisov.The cycle was inaugurated with a special performance by the laureates of the 2025 International Chopin Competition, appearing directly after the Warsaw finals.

    The Magic of Vinyl

    With two albums: Artur Rubinstein’s last concert in Poland and Maurizio Pollini’s interpretations from the 1960 Chopin Competition, we are inaugurating a series of LP releases that will permanently join the Institute’s record catalogue. An album featuring Janusz Olejniczak’s 1970 Competition performances is also scheduled for release in the coming days.
