Mateusz Dubiel

Born on 13 February 2004, he graduated from Anna Skarbowska’s class at the secondary school of music in Bielsko-Biała. He currently studies at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków with Mirosław Herbowsky. In 2022 he won the National Chopin Competition in Warsaw and was runner-up in the ‘Jeune Chopin’ Competition in Lugano and the Baltic Competition in Gdańsk. He has taken part in masterclasses led by Lidia Grychtołówna, Andrzej Jasiński, Piotr Paleczny, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Arie Vardi and Kevin Kenner. He has performed at such venues as the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Żelazowa Wola, the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice, Cavatina Hall in Bielsko-Biała and Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz, as well as the Duszniki-Zdrój festival. He has also appeared in Japan, the US, France, Germany, Lithuania and Mallorca.
