Andrzej Wierciński

Born on 21 November 1995. He graduated with distinction from Wojciech Świtała’s class at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, and from the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where he was taught by Pavel Gililov. He is also a graduate of the Royal College of Music in London, where he studied with Norma Fisher. He has been awarded scholarships by Krystian Zimerman, the Yamaha Foundation, the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and Sinfonia Varsovia (Franciszek Wybrańczyk Artistic Scholarship). A winner of numerous international piano competitions, including those held in Saint-Priest, Vienna (2019) and Naples (2018), he also made the third round of the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition (2021). In recent years, he has given recitals across Europe, as well as in Canada, Dubai, Indonesia and Japan.
