21 October: broadcast of the first episode of the children's series

On 8 October, a meeting about the series Frycek. Mały Chopin (Frycek. Little Chopin) was held at the KINOGRAM cinema in Fabryka Norblina, where the broadcast of the first three episodes was officially announced. The event was attended by representatives of the producer LETKO: showrunner Jakub Karwowski and series director Mikołaj Pilchowski, representatives of the co-producers: TVP Michał Maksym and NIFC, representatives of the donors: Justyna Filochowska (PISF), President of the Orlen Foundation Katarzyna Harpak (Orlen Foundation), PKO Bank Polski Communications and Research Director Szymon Grela (PKO Bank Polski Foundation), and Robert Dobrzycki Foundation Project Specialist Hanna Szarzewicz (Robert Dobrzycki Foundation). During the meeting, guests had the opportunity to watch a preview of the first three episodes of the series and talk to the creators and donors of the series during a Q&A session led by Aleksander Laskowski.
Frycek. Little Chopin is an animated series for children aged 3–5, inspired by the Little Chopin book series. The main character is 7-year-old Frycek, who lives in modern-day Warsaw. He is extremely sensitive to sounds, which form colourful compositions in his ears. Frycek repeats after his uncle Wiktor that he does not need instruments because ‘the whole world is an instrument’. The protagonist not only has the courage to experiment with sounds, but also great charisma – he often gets the whole neighbourhood involved in making music! In the series, Frycek is accompanied by his younger sister Emilka and his friend Tytus. The children experiment with sounds and, while playing, discover new musical and sound phenomena. During a boring cleaning session, they discover the thrilling sound of an old, broken vacuum cleaner, and an offended cat named Karmelka is persuaded to make peace by an opera aria. Music plays a key role in the series. The musical and sound layers in the series are the main inspiration for the characters. Their task is to support the development of musical imagination, concentration and experience.
The first three episodes (‘The Vacuum Cleaner’, ‘The Key and the Safe’, ‘Cat Choirs’) will be broadcast on TVP ABC on 21, 22 and 23 October. The broadcast date is no coincidence - this is when the concerts of the winners of the current 19th Chopin Competition will take place. These episodes will be regularly repeated on TVP VOD and on the KRAINA ABC portal. The entire series will consist of 52 episodes, the last of which will be released by 10 September 2026.
