Chopin’s music will be played at Łazienkowska Street

19/09/2025

Legia Warsaw, together with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, invite you to an event which, for the first time, a few days before
the inauguration of the 19th Chopin Competition, will combine two symbols of the capital city – the excitement of football from the stadium at Łazienkowska Street and the musical heritage of Fryderyk Chopin.

On September 24, just before the match between Legia Warsaw and Jagiellonia Białystok, the stadium will be filled with the sounds of Chopin in a new version. In a unique arrangement, the classic will sound like neither fans nor classical music lovers have ever heard it before. The stadium will also be illuminated by a multimedia laser show.

Legia fans remember well the previous light and music shows organized at Łazienkowska. These events have always been highly acclaimed and created an unforgettable atmosphere.

A meeting of two worlds

Never before has the music of Chopin, a composer shaped by Warsaw whose work continues to delight the world to this day, been heard at Legia Stadium. Just as the Chopin Competition is an arena of artistic rivalry and great emotion, the stadium stands are known for the passion and power of shared experiences during football matches.

Before the match, a recital of Fryderyk Chopin’s music will be held in the premium zone of the stadium. The project will culminate in family activities at Legia Park before the next match against Pogoń Szczecin on September 28. These activities have been prepared in cooperation with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute and Legia’s partners.

PKO Bank Polski is the strategic partner of the show.

Warsaw as a stage for musical and sporting excitement

The show will take place eight days before the start of the 19th Chopin Competition, one of the most important musical events in the world with a tradition dating back nearly a century. For pianists, the prizes won during the competition are a springboard to an international career.

Łazienkowska will thus become a symbolic place combining sport and Chopin’s brilliant music, and the show will be broadcast by TVP Sport and Canal Plus.
