General schedule of the 19th Chopin Competition

The 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition will commence on 2 October. Here is a summary of the schedule for the upcoming auditions and concerts.

2 October 2025 – Inaugural Concert
Start time – 8 p.m.  

3–7 October 2025 – Stage I 
Start of morning session – from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., intermission between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.  
Start of evening session – from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., intermission between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.  

9–12 October 2025 – Stage II
Start of morning session – from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., intermission between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Start of evening session – from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., intermission between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

14–16 October 2025 – Stage III
Start of morning session – from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., intermission between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Start of evening session – from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., intermission between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

17 October 2025 – Commemoration of the 176th anniversary of Chopin’s death
Start time – 8:30 p.m.

18–20 October 2025 – Finals
Start time – from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., ntermission between 7:50 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.

21 October 2025 – 1st concert of the winners
Start time – 8 p.m.

22 October 2025 – 2nd concert of the winners
Start time – 7 p.m.

23 October 2025 – 3rd concert of the winners
Start time – 7 p.m.

The times given for intermissions during auditions and the end of individual sessions are for reference only and may vary depending on the participant's programme.

    1st Brazilian Chopin Competition in São Paulo

    The semi-final auditions of the 1st Brazilian Chopin Competition, whose main organiser is the Chopin Society of Brazil and whose partner is the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute, will be held at the São Paulo Hall on 8 and 9 May.

    Events accompanying the Chopin Competition

    This year’s edition of the Chopin Competition is packed with exceptionally numerous accompanying events – its special status favours this state of affairs, since it marks the opening of celebration of Competition’s centenary, which falls in 2027 – we will be celebrating this anniversary through a series of events and projects over the next five years, culminating in the 20th edition in 2030.
