Press conference summarizing the scope of the 19th Chopin Competition

03/11/2025

On Thursday, November 6, at 12:00 p.m., a press conference will be held in the Concert Hall of the Fryderyk Chopin Museum, during which we will summarize the media coverage of the 19th Chopin Piano Competition and the events that accompanied it.

We will discuss the Competition’s broadcasts on YouTube and – for the first time in the history of this event – on TikTok. We will also summarize the Competition’s visibility in public media – TVP and Polish Radio – which, thanks to studio commentators, guided listeners through the various stages of the young pianists’ rivalry.

We will also learn about the success of the exceptionally numerous accompanying events, such as the music lover zones organized by PKN Orlen, the unprecedented presence of Chopin’s music at Legia Stadium, the fascinating Chopin offerings in the capital’s bars and restaurants, and many other initiatives. The conference will feature presentations by Minister of Culture and National Heritage Marta Cienkowska, Małgorzata Krasowska representing YouTube, director of Polish Radio Programme 2 Piotr Kędziorek, editor-in-chief of TVP Kultura Anna Karna, TikTok spokesperson Piotr Żaczko, and director of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute and the 19th Chopin Piano Competition Artur Szklener. We invite you to attend!

The conference will be streamed live on the YouTube channel of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.
