NEWS
To ensure the safety of the audience, artists, organizers, and collaborators of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, all persons entering the Warsaw Philharmonic will be subject to security screening.
The security procedure includes:
– inspection with a hand-held metal detector,
– checking of carry-on baggage in the presence of the owner, if deemed necessary by security staff.
The screening will be conducted in a manner that does not violate the dignity and personal integrity of the entrants.
Please allow time for screening and, if possible, arrive at the Philharmonic early – both for the opening concert and for the auditions. We would like to remind you that it is prohibited to bring the following items onto the premises of the Warsaw Philharmonic:
– firearms, ammunition, and firearm replicas,
– knives, sharp instruments, and other dangerous items,
– explosives, flammable, and corrosive materials,
– alcohol, drugs, and intoxicants,
– items that may disrupt the event (e.g., megaphones, firecrackers, laser pointers, banners, etc.).
Furthermore, we would like to inform you that there is a parking zone around the Warsaw Philharmonic for residents only (those with a B-35 ID). Please take this into account when planning your route and travel time to the concerts and auditions. We encourage you to use public transportation or taxis whenever possible.
