On the evening of 7 March, the Nowy Teatr in Warsaw hosted the O!Lśnień gala – the Cultural Awards of Onet and the Capital City of Warsaw. During the event, awards were presented to the most outstanding representatives of culture. The Fryderyk Chopin Institute received the special ‘Ambassador of Culture’ award for organising the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition and promoting it widely, including through new communication channels such as TikTok. We are grateful for this distinction and for the appreciation of our work!
The statuette in the category ‘Classical Music, Opera and Jazz’ was awarded to Piotr Pawlak – an outstanding pianist of the younger generation, who is very popular with the public and was a participant in the 19th Chopin Competition. Congratulations! The gala was graced by his performance of Fryderyk Chopin’s Etude in C minor, Op. 10, No. 12.
