The Magic of Vinyl

06/10/2025

‘Black records,’ which have always held a special place in the hearts of music lovers, have recently made a successful return to the current offerings of record labels. The Chopin Institute is using this medium to present you with exceptional recordings, primarily recordings of events that have made a significant impact on the history of world piano music. The core of the LP series will be portraits of the most distinguished figures – laureates of the Chopin Competition over the past decades. We have planned over 30 titles for release until 2027, the 100th anniversary of the Competition. Recalled in analogue sound, they transport us through time and space, allowing us to immerse ourselves in a world where only the beauty of musical sensitivity, the beauty of sound, and the taste of wisely, deeply interpreted works matter.
