Zitong Wang – laureate of the Third prize at the 2025 Chopin Competition, on CDs released by the Fryderyk Chopin Institute

16/01/2026

The fonographic Blue Series is enriched with a second album (after CD of Eric Lu), documenting the most interesting events of the 2025 Competition.

The double album contains almost all of the interpretations of the Third prize winner, Zitong Wang: solo pieces (including Ecossaises, Op. 72, Andante spianato and Grand Polonaise in E flat major, Op. 22, Ballade in A flat major, Op. 47, Mazurkas, Op. 50, Sonata in B flat minor, Op. 35, and Scherzo in B minor, Op. 20) as well as the Piano Concerto in E minor, Op. 11.
The Blue Series of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, launched fifteen years ago, expanded to include the latest competition recordings and supplemented with historical recordings, is the richest phonographic source of the Chopin Competitions. Zitong Wang’s album is another valuable addition to this unique collection.
