Audience Award poll of the 19th Chopin Competition

We invite you to vote in the Audience Award poll of the 19th Chopin Competition. Votes can be cast for pianists who have qualified for the final. Voting takes place from 18 to 20 October, and each voter can cast one vote by clicking on the “Vote” button next to the name of their chosen pianist. For your vote to be valid, you must provide your e-mail address on the entry form. 

The voting form can be found at this link.

The results will be announced on October 21 on the competition website.

    The Magic of Vinyl

    With two albums: Artur Rubinstein’s last concert in Poland and Maurizio Pollini’s interpretations from the 1960 Chopin Competition, we are inaugurating a series of LP releases that will permanently join the Institute’s record catalogue. An album featuring Janusz Olejniczak’s 1970 Competition performances is also scheduled for release in the coming days.

    Behind the scenes notes. 14th day

    The good news at the start of the day Thursday was that Eric Lu, of the United States, was able to perform, following illness. His evening recital was the last one of Stage 3. Other participants that we heard earlier on Thursday came from Japan, China, Poland and Canada, and there was also another pianist from the U.S.A.
